Sant Elm
Sant Elm – Cala en Basset
The small village of Sant Elm, located in front of the islet of Es Pantaleu and the island of Sa Dragonera, is an excellent starting point for various excursions on foot. One of the most recommended for all types of walkers is to walk to the Torre de Cala en Basset via the Camino de Can Tomeví.
The Torre de Cala en Basset was built in the 16th century and together with the Torre des Cap Andritxol and the Torre de la Mola, it forms part of the group of defence towers that served to watch over the coast and protect the island from pirate raids.
The route of this excursion crosses a beautiful pine forest and offers exceptional views over the island of Sa Dragonera, Cala en Basset and the Morro de Sa Rajada.
