Amateur Theatre Festival Sa Teulera

The Department of Culture has been promoting for more than 35 years an Amateur Theatre Festival in the Municipal Theatre of Sa Teulera. It usually takes place in March and involves amateur companies, both local and from all over the Autonomous Community, with a varied and complete programme of theatrical performances, with a wide following of local residents.

The “Festival Internacional de Marionetas” (International Puppet Festival) is the children’s date with the theatre. The performances take place in the theatre of sa Teulera in Andratx, in the Plaza de s’Arracó and on the quay of the Port of Andratx.

It is worth mentioning the “Premios Andratx“, to promote artistic and literary creation in our municipality. A competition open to all artists who wish to participate, which each year enjoys greater prestige, and in which there are various and substantial prizes for literary works, paintings, sculptures… both local and general.
