Cala Blanca
“Cala Blanca” is located between “Sa Punta dels Bancals” and “cala en Cranc”. It is a small cove placed under the mountain “Sa Talaia”. It is a rocky and dry landscape with sandy parts and surrounded by pine trees and a slope of gravel and pebbles that leads into a stream. The last stretch must be done by foot and consists in the descent of a steep slope.
The cove forms an “V”-shaped inlet, with middle height cliffs on the margins of the beach and made up of pebbles with rests of “posidonia”, the endemic water plant of the Mediterranean Sea.
It is a clean, virgin beach with crystall waters. It is hardly visisted, which makes it a calm and ideal place for resting. Due to its characteristics it is recommended for diving.
An interesting point, in 2014 the Town Hall of Andratx enabled the presence of dogs in “Cala Blanca”. Since then it belongs to the net of canine swimming areas of Mallorca.
